Men and women live in different worlds

Last week, the Public Religion Research Institute released a 60-page report on millennials and sex. The group polled a random sample of 2,314 adults in the U.S. between the ages of 18 and 35 – both in English and Spanish – about everything from their experiences with sex education to their thoughts on gender equality.

The main takeaway was that millennials are more progressive than older generations – that is, on everything except abortion, which was fairly unpopular among millennials. But a closer look at the data shows that millennial women, at least according to what they said, live in a much different world than their male counterparts.

The graphic below highlights some of those results, and this map from Philadelphia Magazine shows where the millennials are.
