The Rev. Timothy Keller, an evangelical Christian theologian who died earlier this year, and Catholic Sr. Norma Pimentel, known for her work with migrants, have been chosen by a Christian organization to be the first recipients of its Civic Renewal Award.

Two Kansas nuns are voicing opposition to a proposed abortion-related amendment in their state's constitution despite its support by a local archbishop. 

The letter accuses "some elected officials" of making "the immoral choice to hold onto power at any cost, including disenfranchising thousands, denying their most sacred gift: their voice."
