"Pass the Bill!"

That's the title of an op-ed piece in Friday's New York Times written by conservative columnist David Brooks. Brooks does an excellent job debunking the conservative House Republicans' primary arguments against passing comprehensive immigration reform like the Senate did recently on a bipartisan basis.

Here is Brooks' concluding paragraph:

"Whether this [immigration] bill passes or not, this country is heading toward a multiethnic future. Republicans can either shape that future in a conservative direction or, as I’ve tried to argue, they can become the receding roar of a white America that is never coming back.

That’s what’s at stake."
