Margaret Ng

Sr. Margaret Ng migrated as an adult from Malaysia to Perth, Australia, in 1971 and joined the Sisters of Joseph of the Sacred Heart in 1981. She stopped teaching in 1990 and was appointed pastoral worker for migrants for the Perth Archdiocese, working with Chinese (worldwide), Malaysians, Singaporeans and Indonesians. During that time, she assisted with establishing the Chinese Catholic and Indonesian Catholic communities. In 2005, she went to Sydney, where she established the Josephite Counter-Trafficking Project and was the cofounder of Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking.
