Annie Killian

Annie Killian, a Dominican Sister of Peace, is an assistant professor of English at Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio. She holds a doctorate in English from Yale University, where she studied 15th-century religion and literature with a focus on women’s writing and church reform. She has experience in prison education and nonviolent peacemaking. She made her first profession of vows in July 2022.

Reflection on my first profession

I imagine how the caterpillar feels, floating through space, holding on to its line of silk for dear life, like a bungee jumper. That's rather what it feels like to enter a religious congregation.
