Boitumelo Albertina Matlhabe

Boitumelo Albertina Matlhabe is a member of the Sisters of Calvary of Botswana, the only local congregation in the country. She grew up in a village in Botswana, and since entering the community has engaged in teaching, counseling, catechesis, sewing and farming. She is currently the superior general of the Sisters of Calvary in Botswana.

The rewarding challenge and struggle of being a sister in Botswana

At times, we find these worries intruding on our prayer and community life and we do not give either the time we need. But, in spite of these struggles — in the end — it is our spirituality that gives us courage to keep going and trying new things.
