Theresa Doerfler joined Global Sisters Report as a freelance writer in 2023. She has taught English in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she is currently an MFA candidate at Carlow University.
Sr. Linda Yankoski will turn leadership over to Michael Sexauer, the first layperson to lead the Holy Family Sisters' 125-year-old ministry. "It's nice to see laity step up and be involved," Yankoski said.
People on both sides of the reality-TV discernment journey claim significant benefits from the experience, even though none of the young women from the show actually became a nun.
After a 40-year career in academics, Sr. Peg Albert is on sabbatical, listening to where God will call her next. "I'm open to wherever that is and whatever it is," she said.
