The public prayer section of Mass, the Prayer of the Faithful, comes usually after the homily. The idea is to respond to the Word of God, to be able to have prayers nurtured by Scripture come forth. One Nun's Life podcast listener brings up the difficulty she encounters when a fellow Mass participant who offers the same prayer every day.

So, how do you respond to a communal prayer with which you do not agree? We explore what these prayers are about and what our response means.
