Guwahati: Auxilium Reach Out (ARO), a social development organisation of Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco, recently honoured Shaji Fernandez for his decade-long dedicated service as chief project development manager and consultant. The felicitation event took place on November 11, 2025, in Guwahati, Assam, recognising Fernandez's commitment since 2015 to advancing ARO's mission of empowering marginalised communities in Northeast India.
The ceremony was graced by Sr. Celine Jacob, Visiting Counsellor from Rome, who praised Fernandez's selfless service and dedication. The honour included the presentation of a shawl and a memento as tokens of appreciation. Sr. Annie Enchenatil, Director of ARO, highlighted Fernandez's embodiment of the organization's motto, "Service with Love and Purpose," emphasizing his readiness, enthusiasm, and unwavering dedication to every project under his leadership.

Auxilium Reach Out operates across Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, and Arunachal Pradesh, focusing on holistic socio-economic development of women, children, and youth. The organization's key interventions include livelihood development, education, sustainable ecology promotion, skill development, employment generation, and relief work in remote and underserved villages.
Fernandez's role went beyond project management; he played a critical part in building strong relationships with donors, benefactors, and supporters, securing vital resources for the organization's initiatives. His creativity, risk-taking, and commitment to ARO's Gospel-inspired mission have significantly contributed to the organization's success and expansion.

Under Fernandez's leadership, ARO has made a tangible impact on poverty alleviation and sustainable community development. Thousands of beneficiaries have benefited from the organization's programs, and staff find inspiration in his simplicity, trust in teamwork, and visionary guidance.

Auxilium Reach Out, the social development wing of the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco, Province of Guwahati, continues to champion empowerment and sustainable progress for marginalized populations across four states in India's northeast. The decade-long service of Shaji Fernandez stands as a testament to the power of dedicated leadership in driving meaningful social change.
