Celebrating milestones

Five Sisters of the Precious Blood recently celebrated milestone anniversaries of entrance into the Congregation:

Sister Mary Garascia 60 years
Sister Carolyn Hoying 60 years
Sister Nancy Kinross 60 years
Sister Marie Kopin 60 years
Sister Rosemary Laux 80 years

All the Sisters were recognized at a Mass and banquet July 3 at Salem Heights, the Congregation’s central house in Dayton.

The Sisters of the Precious Blood were founded in Switzerland by Maria Anna Brunner in 1834 and first arrived in the U.S. in 1844. This year’s honorees hail from communities in Cincinnati and Egypt, Ohio; Flint, Michigan; and Bryant, Indiana, and have served in a variety of ministries from Virginia to California.

Congratulations and thank you to all of this year’s Precious Blood jubilarians.
