Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Celebrate Inaugural Graduation Ceremony

The Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady are the religious sponsor for Cristo Rey Baton Rouge Franciscan High School high school, ensuring that it is Catholic in identity and mission, true to the religious charism of the congregation. Cristo Rey Baton Rouge began the 2019-2020 school year with 174 students in grades 9-12. In May, the Class of 2020 was the first graduating class in the history of the school. Students earned over $1.2 million toward their tuition this school year with the support and partnership of 48 Corporate Work Study Partners and Sponsors throughout the greater Baton Rouge, La area. This private, Catholic high school opened in August 2016 and in this learning environment, we educate young people of limited economic means to become men and women of faith, purpose and service. Forty-one students graduated the school year strong with 100 percent college acceptance. We are so proud of our students and will be praying for them as they begin their studies in the fall. Sr. Barbara Arceneaux, Regional Minister; Sr. Eileen Rowe and Sr. Helen Cahill attended the ceremony. Sr. Eileen gave the closing prayer. https://www.fmolsisters.com https://www.cristoreybr.org/
