Iowa Freedom Summit aims to educate about human trafficking and services available in Iowa

The Sisters of St. Francis Franciscan Peace Center in Clinton, Iowa, and the Iowa Network Against Human Trafficking and Slavery are co-sponsoring Iowa’s Freedom Summit in recognition of Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. A live webinar will be held Tuesday, January 12, 11:30 a.m.  1:00 p.m. CST. Join the movement to make Iowa free of Human Trafficking. The panel of speakers includes Heather Brown, a survivor and advocate; former Senator Maggie Tinsman, founder of Braking Traffik; Dr. Shannon Findlay, a member of the Johnson County Human Trafficking Coalition; Alyse Hardin, Survivor Services Supervisor for Braking Traffik of Family Resources, Inc.; Teresa Davidson, Anti-Human Trafficking Coordinator at Mercy Medical Center; and Jessica Rohrs, Director of Victim Services at Family Crisis Centers.
