More than $330,000 disbursed from Catholic Community Foundation of Mid-Michigan’s endowments

SAGINAW, Mich. — June 11, 2026 — The Board of the Catholic Community Foundation of Mid‑Michigan approved more than $330,000 in annual designated disbursements at their June 9 meeting to support Catholic parishes, schools and ministries across the Diocese of Saginaw.

“This year’s disbursements strengthen classroom resources, faith formation, parishes, and local outreach programs that directly benefit families and students across Mid‑Michigan,” said Michael Shabluk, Foundation Board President. “We’re proud that these endowed funds provide reliable, long‑term support for the Diocese’s mission.”

Endowed funds provide a percentage of investment revenue each year while preserving principal, creating a perpetual income stream for recipient organizations. The largest single distribution in 2026 — more than $43,000 — came from the Saginaw Area Catholic Schools Endowment Fund to support Catholic education.

“These investments allow schools and parishes to plan with confidence,” said Kristin Smith, Executive Director. “From tuition assistance to curriculum enhancements, and teacher salaries, these disbursements translate into meaningful, measurable results for students and families.”

Since 2006, the Foundation has distributed more than $21 million to support ministries and the mission of the Diocese of Saginaw across 11 counties and 56 parishes in Mid‑Michigan.
