Ten Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph celebrate Jubilees

80 years

Sister Marie Julie Fecher ministered as a music instructor in Kentucky for almost 50 years. From 1976-94, she was a music instructor at Brescia College/University in Owensboro, Ky.

70 years

Sister Eva Boone served as an educator for 23 years in Kentucky, Nebraska, Missouri and Indiana, then served in parish ministry for 14 years.

Sister Ruth Gehres served as an English professor and later president of Brescia College in Owensboro.

Sister Michael Ann Monaghan spent nearly 50 years as a teacher in Kentucky, Missouri and her beloved New Mexico.

60 years

Sister Sara Marie Gomez  served as a special educator in Kentucky and a teacher and parish minister in her native New Mexico.

Sister Michele Morek served 34 years at Brescia College/University, mostly as a biology professor. She was congregational leader of her community from 2004-10. She now serves with the Global Sisters Report.

Sister Rose Jean Powers ministered for 43 years at Brescia College/University as an instructor, director of residential life, campus minister and other duties.

Sister Sheila Anne Smith served in her adopted home in the Southwest from 1979-2010 as a religious educator, parish minister and writer.

Sister Katherine Stein served as a teacher, a hospital chaplain and in internal ministry to her community.

40 years

Sister Sharon Sullivan continues to serve as a special educator at Brescia University. She was congregational leader of her community from 2010-16.
