Transformative Education: Around the Globe

Event date: May 3, 2022 at 8 pm ET

The North American Vocation Team (NAVT) of the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) present “Living our Call as SSND: Transformative Education, Part 3 – Around the Globe” Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 8 p.m. EST (7 p.m. CST). This third of a three-part online series is intended for women ages 18-45 to learn more about SSND and their ministry as an international organization. More information and registration for the Zoom link is available at

Presenters include SSND in a variety of ministries around the globe. Sister Beatriz Martinez-Garcia, SSND NGO representative to the United Nations, will give an overview of the SSND call to education and the vision that frames it, especially as it relates, beyond the classroom, to ministries in support of women and children all over the world. Then Sisters Mary Anne Owens of the U.S., Paulina Raymond of Guam, Yvonne Nassal of Peru, M. Fidelis Nyul of Hungary, Nentaweh Wakger of Kenya and Mara Frundt and Monika Ulrich as novitiate directors in Rome, Italy, will each explain the work of their respective ministries.

The “Living our Call as SSND” online presentations were started in 2020 in response to the need to adapt outreach efforts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Recordings from the first series of three presentations can be viewed at, along with the first and second parts of the current series on Transformative Education.
