Hilda Mateo

Sr. Hilda Mateo is originally from Miami, born to Cuban parents. She is bilingual, bicultural and has been a member of her religious community, Misioneras Guadalupanas del Espíritu Santo, since 1994. In the early years of her ministry, she worked in the formation of Hispanic immigrant pastoral agents, which led her to pursue a doctorate in ministry with an emphasis in Hispanic theology. Mateo's most recent work focuses on the application of collective consciousness-raising processes, facilitating groups that wish to engage in contemplation and transformation. She currently lives in Pasadena, California.
