Sr. Mary Pellegrino of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Baden, Pennsylvania, speaks to Sister Rejane about her time serving multiple leadership roles. Pellegrino served on her congregation's four-member leadership team, and served as congregational moderator.

And during her second term in leadership, Pellegrino was elected to serve as president of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, which she called an "incredible opportunity and privilege." The dual leadership roles for both her congregation and LCWR was a lot of work. She credited her leadership team and their community for their support.

In this clip, she talks about how the St. Joseph leadership team considered the decision about the LCWR candidacy. "We did a bit of a discernment on my team to say: 'This is the invitation. Can we respond to this together?' " She added, "I felt like, if this were to be, it was really going to be a discernment among all four of us. And that's what it was."
