In order to escape Vietnam, Sr. Trish Doan's family had to divide up. Sister Trish, a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, was born in Vietnam, during a time of war and unrest. Her family had no choice but to leave Vietnam in separate segments. At around age 12, she escaped in a boat.

After 10 years, all 10 family members had made it to the United States, where they were reunited. Sister Trish tells her story to Sister Rejane.
