The North American Vocation Team (NAVT) of the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) invites young women ages 18-45 to a summer service week June 11-17, 2023. The week will include volunteer opportunities through Whole Kids Outreach (WKO), a nonprofit service organization located in Ellington, Missouri. Lodging and meals are provided; participants must provide their own transportation to Ellington or St. Louis, MO. More information is available at ssnd.org/events/summer23/. The Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary and Centro Corazón de María Board of Directors have appointed Alma Alegria as the new Executive Director of Centro Corazón de María.
A series of Zoom presentations about how the Center for Benedictine Life at the Monastery of St. Gertrude in Cottonwood, Idaho, is creating a new model for Benedictine communities today. Presenters include Sisters, oblates, employees, and cohousing members involved in building the Center for Benedictine Life.
A digital exhibit celebrating Benedictine sisters who studied and taught the sciences was created and published on March 1, the beginning of Women’s History Month, by Diana Fenton, an associate professor of education at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University.
Join us for a conversation with Paul Jeffrey, “Behind the Lens: South Sudan from a Photojournalist’s Perspective,” on Tuesday, March 28 at 3 p.m. Eastern | 2 p.m. Central | noon Pacific. Paul is a writer and photographer who describes his work as “social documentary photography with an attitude.” He has traveled around the globe, reporting from more than 90 countries, including Sudan and South Sudan.
The Religious Formation Conference will convene a new ForMission class this summer at the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, Illinois. Participants will check in on May 31st and depart on June 8th.
The two-year program is intended for women and men:
• formation ministers currently accompanying new members at any stage of initial formation;
• preparing to become a formation minister;
• in elected and informal leadership who actively support and oversee the effectiveness and quality of the congregation/province initial formation program.
More often than not, people tend to focus on the challenges of diversity. In fact, we often hear and read about the burdens of diversity. This workshop offers perspectives that view diversity as something that we ought to DESIRE. It offers frameworks and perspectives for living, serving, ministering, and leading fearlessly, lovingly, and joyfully with and within differences.

Sisters, Associates, and guests gathered at Saint Dominic Convent in Blauvelt to partake in this significant milestone.
This particular Chapter of Life and Mission was significant to the congregation as its theme focused on “Passion for the Possible.”

As part of their mission to care for Earth, Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in the Pittsburgh area are taking significant steps to improve ecological sustainability efforts. These initiatives range from planting trees and other flora to enhance water retention and promote pollination to pursuing certification as a wildlife habitat.

USCSAHT Encourages Students to Educate Teens on Human Trafficking in Video Contest
United States -- Students around the United States will have a chance to display their talent, earn cash prizes and educate other youth about human trafficking in a video contest, “What Would You Do?”
The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth will host an Open House on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will be held at the Nazareth Motherhouse Campus, located in Bardstown, where the Sisters have resided since 1822.
During the visit, guests will have the opportunity to explore the Holy Grounds of Nazareth and learn about the history of the Congregation. Start by touring the beautiful and historic St. Vincent de Paul Church, admiring its architecture and peaceful atmosphere.

Benedictine sister Catherine Duenne, OSB, in partnership with Twenty-Third Publications, published a devotional booklet called "The Stations of the Resurrection." The Stations of the Resurrection are 14 stations that follow Jesus’ life from the Resurrection to Pentecost.
ForMission 2.0 is an opportunity for those who’ve participated in the Religious Formation Conference’s Orientation to Formation and/or the ForMission programs to dive deeper into a specific topic, refresh and reinvigorate skills and learnings along the way, connect with other formators, and engage in peer supervision.
Due to popular interest, the 2022 exhibit at the Haehn Museum, Art and Heritage Place, Saint Benedict’s Monastery, was selected to stay on display through 2023. Titled “By the Work of Her Hands,” this exhibit celebrates the vast array of art forms mastered by the hands of Sister Dennis Frandrup. Respected by colleagues, admired by her students at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, and recognized by other artists, S. Dennis has been producing art for over 50 years. In this exciting exhibit, the teacher and artist come together to offer beauty to a weary world.

For over 40 years, Sr. Maggie McDermott, OP, a Sister of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt, New York, has been the face, heart, and soul of the Tolentine Zeiser Community Life Center.
From building up ministries such as the Sammon Build Center, Paradise Transitional Housing, Susan’s Place, Siena House, and the Tolentine Early Learn Program, Sr. Maggie has genuinely dedicated her ministry to following her congregation’s mission of caring for those in need.
“Whether there are 158 members or 12,” shares Anna Taylor, who the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration welcome as a candidate for the congregation, “that common purpose of sharing life in the quest for God remains.”

The Life Satisfaction Scale for Apostolic Women Religious
(LSSAWR) is a well-established instrument with demonstrated
psychometrics properties. This study examined the individual
item-level ratings averaged across generational cohorts within
an international sample of Roman Catholic Sisters. The purpose
