The Illuminating Justice Student Research Symposium brings together undergraduate and graduate students to present research on human trafficking and related issues.

Hosted by the Alliance to End Human Trafficking in collaboration with Villanova University’s Center for Peace and Justice Education and the University of Central Florida’s Center for the Study of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, the symposium creates space for informed dialogue and cross-disciplinary exchange.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (March 31, 2026) Salesian missionaries have a new chapel in Naegaon Garo Village of St. John Bosco Parish Kokrajhar, Assam, India, thanks to donor funding from Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The chapel was completed in November 2025.

The Religious Formation Conference (RFC) and the Wheaton Franciscans are excited to offer a one-day in-person workshop for religious, associates, collaborators, and lay formators in the Midwest this spring. The workshop will offer space to reflect, renew, and reconnect with the joy at the heart of religious life, mission, and ministry.

In addition to planned input, participants will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful grounds of the Wheaton Franciscans (features include a peace path, cosmic walk, St. Clare Garden) over an extended lunch break.

Bakery is historical institution in Bethlehem. 

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (March 23, 2026) Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, helped support the Salesian Bakery, a historical institution in Bethlehem. With the support provided in part by Salesian Missions, the bakery was able to provide free bread to 111 vulnerable families and eight institutions.

The program planning committee for HOPE 2027, a global gathering of Catholic sisters under 65 years old coordinated by the Leadership Collaborative, has announced the theme for next year’s event: Ubuntu: Wholeness and Transformation.

Ubuntu, a term used in many cultures in Africa, is often translated as “I am because we are.” It is a philosophy of transformation, of moving from the singular “I am” to the communal and global “we are.” It is a way of being that is rooted in both personal and global wholeness.

The Religious Formation Conference (RFC) invites applications for the summer 2026 Life Commitment program, to be held July 7-14, 2026 at The Well, LaGrange, Illinois. Life Commitment is designed for religious women and men preparing for final profession who have already lived vowed life for many years and are discerning a lifelong commitment.

The Religious Formation Conference (RFC) invites applications for the 2026–2028 ForMission cohort. ForMission is a holistic, two-year formation program for consecrated women and men in formation ministry, including congregational leaders responsible for formation. The program offers residential formation plus year-round accompaniment, including one-on-one mentoring and supervision groups.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (March 9, 2026) Students attending the Salesian technical and vocational center, located in Mahajanga, Madagascar, will benefit from newly constructed facilities. The funding has come from Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The work began in March 2025 and currently continues.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (March 8, 2026) Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins humanitarian organizations and countries around the globe in celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8. The day honors the economic, political and social achievements of women while focusing the world’s attention on areas requiring further action.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (March 2, 2026) The Garden Open Community School, located in Thorn Park, a neighborhood in Lusaka, Zambia, has solar panels and newly painted classrooms in the primary section thanks to donor funding from Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco.
